This place is a gem, everything about this place is amazing and it's always nice when you have a knowledgeable and friendly owner running the place

I was not thrilled by the stromboli I ordered in as much as the price / taste ratio was off.
It wasn't horrible, but it certainly was not a anywhere NEAR the best I've ever had at a local independent place. The sauce tasted like it was premade, the utensils useless for cutting / eating the boli, they asked if I was eating it there or taking it out but they still gave it to me in takeout box , I wasn't asked / reminded of wanting a drink (especially since I was eating it there).
The paper under the boli (which became part of it as it was cut and eaten) was indistinguishable from the boli itself in taste but it was definitely more tender than the boli's bottom. I was also a little surprised by being charged $6 to $7 more than the stated price. This place has changed over the past years. There are better local pizzarias in the area that deliver. -

This divey spot is easy to overlook - it's in a shopping center that's seen better days, and its interior is in similar condition - patched leather booths, slightly sticky plastic red-and-white-checkered tablecloths, a dusty juke box in the corner with music streaming on the TV above. But some of the best pizza I've ever had has been in divey spots just like this, so it doesn't affect my appreciation of the food.
The red sauce they make is incredible - homemade and flavorful - but my favorite is the white spinach pizza. It is garlicy deliciousness, covered in spinach and banana peppers. My next go-to is the California cheese steak. The buns are soft but sturdy enough to hold all the steak, cheese, onions, peppers, lettuce, and tomatoes that come crammed inside. In the seven years I've frequented Luciano's, these two items always hit the spot.
The prices seem to have increased in that same time frame, but I'm happy to support local family owned businesses as long as the food is good. It's still among my top 5 pizza joints in the area but there are far more options now than when I first moved to the city - and some of those options are less expensive but equally delicious. -

Food friendly staff. Pizza is good nice treat before going to the movies. This mom and pop shop has a quiet charm. It wasn't busy when we were there around 1:30 guess after the lunch rush.

This place would receive 5 stars for the food quality. Quality is top notch, best cheesesteak you can get outside of philly. Everything they make seems to be fresh and delicious. The only reason I take a star off is the atmosphere. The place is in need of repairs (patched up booths, dirty floors, etc). But I go to a place to eat more than look at stuff. I recommend getting your food to go and enjoy it somewhere nicer - it's worth it for the food!
